Community Alliance members form a national network of place-based multipurpose and holistic organisations. They know their communities inside out and this knowledge is used to create activities, services and support tailored to the needs of local people.

These organisations offer anything from vocational training for young people living in inner city areas to volunteer taxi services for isolated older people in rural villages. Local people from the community manage and run these organisations, and very often work or volunteer in them as well.

Our members are a place for local people to come together to create the places that they want to live in. They create jobs and new opportunities for enterprise, provide a voice for the concerns and aspirations of the people they work with and are at the hub of thriving networks of social activists and volunteers.
