Free legal clinic launched for community based groups

Community groups will benefit from newly launched legal clinic, developed jointly by Community Matters and LawWorks and provides free legal advice to community based groups, organisations and enterprises from lawyers and solicitors in participating firms. The launch follows a six month pilot scheme in which legal experts from Dechert have given one-to-one advice to groups at monthly legal clinics under an employee volunteering scheme. This has covered a wide variety of issues including employment law, premises, contracts, incorporation and intellectual property rights.
